      <title>Elizabeth Bathory, Blood Countess</title>
      <link>http://gothlit.tribe.net/thread/70262a50-5694-41a9-9497-383d6c1c0ac6</link>
      <description>&lt;div&gt;There's an article about her in the latest issue of Gothic Beauty Magazine.  Anyone else read it yet?  I liked the theories about why none of the girls' families accused her of killing them, and about why she thought bathing in blood might keep her young.  I'm not sure I buy all the stuff about how she was the original vampire, etc.  Don't lots of cultures have vampire myths that go back thousands of years?&lt;/div&gt;
